Abineet Parichha from Odisha topper ICSE class X in India of Little Flower School, Balangir secured 99.2 per cent mark.
Abineet Parichha, a student of Little Flower School, Balangir has become the all India topper in the Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE) for class X.
Abineet has secured 99.2 per cent with 100 marks each in mathematics, social science and computers, 98 marks in Science and English and 96 in Odia.
Another student from Odisha Karan Agrawal of St Paul’s School, Rourkela has secured third position in all India in ICSE with 98.8 % marks. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) declared Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) for class X and Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC) for class XII results on Friday.
Principal of Little Flower School, Balangir, Teena Joseph MPV said, “It is a proud moment for all of us that the boy from a small town became all-India topper. Abineet has been a very consistent and brilliant student from childhood. He will certainly be an inspiration for other students.”
In Odisha, a total 6848 students of 88 schools have appeared the ICSE exam while 1502 students of 27 schools appeared the ISC exam. The pass percentage of ICSE and ISC students in Odisha is 98.22 % and 92.34 % respectively.
“Students of Odisha have done exceptionally well as two of our students are in all-India top-10 list. Most schools have done 100% results,” said principal St. Paul’s School Rourkela, Fr. Joseph, who is also the secretary of ICSE schools in Odisha.
