Odisha government in collaboration with social media giant Facebook would organize workshops for micro, small and medium women entrepreneurs (MSMEs) and women self-help groups on digital marketing skills.
Around 25,000 MSMEs and women SHGs would be trained in next one year as part of the initiative. The decision was taken here at a meeting headed by MSME secretary L N Gupta which was also attended by officials from the US-based social media giant.
The workshops will be held at various locations like Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Balasore, Berhampur, Angul, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Rayagada, Jeypore, Puri and Keonjhar.
According to an official note, the primary objective of these workshops is to help skill and train MSME entrepreneurs, SHGs and artisans of Odisha to go digital and grow their business by leveraging on social media.
