Gota Satish Kumar sets world record by covering maximum distance by bike


Gota Satish Kumar, a double amputee from Rayagada district, has secured a place in the Guinness Book and Limca Book of Records for covering maximum distance by bike.

The 36-year-old biker travelled about 50,000 km on his 350 cc Royal Enfield in a span of 165 days to cover all the 29 states and five Union Territories (UTs).

Satish who is attempting to make a Guinness Record for the maximum distance covered by a bike rider in a country lost his both legs amputated after a train accident at the age of 26. But then, Satish is taking up the Record Journey with artificial legs.

the man from Odisha started his journey on September 2nd which happens to be Pawan Kalyan’s Birthday. What is more inspirational is that Satish is not competing in the disabled category but in General category.

According to reports, Tollywood star Pawan Kalyan had extended a financial aid of Rs 5 lakh to Satish after coming to know about his inspirational journey. Coincidentally, September 2 happens to be the birthday of the popular actor.
