Jagannath Temple to provide free Mahaprasad during month of kartika


Jagannath Temple Administration in Puri is planning to provide free Mahaprasad of pilgrims, who would observe ‘habisa’ during the month of ‘kartika’ starting October 16 this year.

The proposed facility is likely to benefit nearly 2,000 pilgrims, who will be provided free accommodation too.

The district administration announced free stay for 2,000 ‘kartika brat’ holders in Puri. The district administration will set up temporary shelters near the Jagannath Temple to accommodate 2,000 pilgrim and provide ‘mahaprasad’ to them in the evening.

The district administration has identified six locations around the temple to construct temporary shelters for the devotees.
