Naveen Patnaik – Ambulance is more important than VIP Movement

Chief minister Naveen Patnaik directed police not to detain ambulances to make passage for VIPs at any Circumstances.

The CM observed that the police were detaining ambulances carrying patients to give passage to VIP vehicles, thereby putting the lives of patients at risk. He Stated “Life of patients is more precious than the VIP movement. Therefore, at no circumstances the ambulance would be detained on the road,”

The CM also announced to create special corridors near major traffic junctions across the state for free movement of ambulances. In the first phase, such corridors would be erected near the traffic posts of major hospitals within a month.
