Nila Madhab Panda’s “God’s Own People” in Cannes Film Festival

Nila Madhab Panda’s documentary “God’s Own People” on the historical Nabakalebar makes it to Cannes Film Festival.

Minister of Tourism and Culture, Govt of Odisha Ashok Chandra Panda is schedule to inaugurate the documentary in its first international presence.

The 80-minute-long documentary is made by Panda in association with Akshay Parija Productions and the Department of Culture and Tourism, Odisha.

Nila Madhab Panda said, documentary has been made to showcase the rare ritual of Nabakalebara that takes place every 19 years.

“It has captured moments during the sacred Nabakalebara and explores ideas of anticipation, love, longing, separation, faith and surrender to God.
