Government to launch Odisha Animal Ambulance Service

Odisha Animal Ambulance Service – The Odisha government has decided to launch an animal helpline with ambulance service in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur. The service will be started by end of this October.

The ambulance will be converted as mobile unit to diagnose the disease and provide appropriate treatment to the suffering animals on the spot.

The ambulances will have necessary medical equipment like surgical instruments, sterilizer, animal lifting and standing support instruments for treatment of animals suffering from diseases or injured due to accidents.

The animal ambulance unit will function in two shifts of six hours each. Veterinary teams will extend their timely services to animals during emergency in two shifts.

Provision of free first aid treatment with life-saving drugs on the spot will be made for stray and abandoned animals.
