Odisha Blind Cricket Team becomes Champions in National cricket tournament for blind 2016 at Gymkhana Ground, Hyderabad.

Due to heavy rain the final match was reduced to a 5 over a side affair. Gujarat won the toss and elected to bat first in the game and in 5 overs they scored 53 runs by losing 7 wickets.

In the interesting final, Odisha achieved the target in the last ball of the match. Sukhram Majhi scored fantastic 34 runs off 17 balls and Pankaj Bhue scored 13 of 8 balls in the run chase for Odisha.

In the history of blind cricket, Odisha became the winners for the very first time in the national cricket tournament.

International player, Sukhram Majhi was declared the Man of the Final while his team mate from the national side, Pankaj Bhue received the Man of the Tournament award.
