Odisha Matric Result 2016 was announced by School and Mass Education minister Debi Prasad Mishra, Board of Secondary Education (BSE) President Dr Dakshya Prasad Nanda and School and Mass Education Secretary Ranjana Chopra at BSE office in Cuttack.
The success rate of regular students is 85.20 percent, while the overall success rate is highest in Balasore district at 92.90 percent.
Girls outshine boys in the examination as 2,46, 240 girl students have cleared the examination as compared to 2,43,482 boys.
The school and mass education minister Debi Prasad Mishra said that the Balasore district has witnessed 92.90 percent, which is the highest among other districts of the state.

85.20 percent students have passed the Class 10 exam
Out of the total number of schools, only 715 passed the examination, while students from 21 schools could not clear the exam
Total of 5,86,503 students had appeared in the exam while 4,89,722 of them cleared it – 2,46,240 girls as compared to 2,43,482 boys.
Out of the total number of candidates, 1733 candidates scored the highest and came under the highest A1 grade category ( 90 – 100 percent)
Meanwhile,18,863 students got A2 grade (80-90 percent) with 53,070 students getting B1 grade (70-80 percent).
715 schools have achieved 100% results, 21 have secured nil results.
1572 students were booked for malpractice.
