Odisha’s top 20 Young Astronomer visit to ISRO Bengaluru.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday interacted with the winners of the Young Astronomer Talent Search (YATS)-2015-16 while he flagged off their exposure visit to Satellite Centre of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Bengaluru in a function held at Naveen Niwas, Bhubaneswar.
These 20 budding astronomers were reportedly selected through three levels tests from amongst students from class VIII- to X across the state participating in YATS, organized by Tata Steel in collaboration with Pathani Samanta Planetarium.
Besides, visiting the facilities at Satellite Centre of ISRO, these students will have the rare opportunity of interacting with some of the top space scientists of the country during their visit to Bengaluru from May 9 to13, sources said.
The Chief Minister also tweeted wishing the students good luck in their endeavours. “Happy to interact with winners of Young Astronomer Talent Search 2015; wish them the very best in their endeavours,” Patnaik posted on Twitter on Sunday.
