As West Bengal goes to the final phase of the six-phased assembly polls on Thursday, international sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a sand sculpture at Puri Beach of Odisha to appeal the voters to cast their votes.
Titled “Your vote, your Future”, the sand art depicts a finger pressing the electronic voting machine and two faces (one of a man and other of a female) representing the voters.
The voting began at 7am in the morning and will continue till 6 pm in the evening.
Polling is being conducted for 25 seats spread across two districts – East Midnapore and Coochbehar. Over 58 lakh (58,04,019) voters will seal the fate of 170 candidates.
