Utkal University Digital Study Materials – Utkal University developing digital study materials students which will provide them in microchips and memory cards. Contents will be developed in all the three streams – arts, science and commerce.
The students can use these cards and chips both on mobile phones and computers to access quality learning materials. The chips will contain notes, documents, video lectures, worksheets with chapters on both theory and practical papers.
Digital study materials are being developed as part of the Rashtriya Uchchatara Shiksha Abhiyan under the Union ministry of human resource development. An amount of Rs 5 crore has already been sanctioned by the ministry for this project.
The memory chips will be handed over to the higher education department for distribution. The 16GB and 32GB memory cards with contents for various BA courses will be distributed in the first phase at the beginning of the next academic year.
Utkal University also plans to set up a video-conferencing studio on the campus to help the students directly interact with experts and teaching faculty available. Such classes will be held at least twice a week to supplement classroom teaching.
