Air show in Cuttack on December 23 for birth centenary of Biju Patnaik


Indian Air Force (IAF) will organise an ‘Air Show’ in the Millennium City Cuttack on December 23 to commemorate the birth centenary of legendry leader late Biju Patnaik.

The 40-minute air show will be performed by IAF at Khannagar Park to pay respect to Patnaik who was one of the best pilots of his time. IAF personnel will exhibit several daredevil acts including parachute dropping within radius of five km from Khannagar park over Kathajodi river bank.

As many as 100 pilots, 10 IAF officials of Surya Kiran Aerobatics, Saranga Aerobatics and Akash Ganga Aerobatics teams of IAF will participate in the daredevil show with 6 helicopters, 10 fighter aircraft.

The district administration has made elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of the air show. The administration, which has arranged sitting facilities for 5,000 people, has also taken step for making live commentary.
