Odisha government has submitted a detailed project report of a number of projects for development of various Buddhist circuits of the state under the Swadesh Darshan Yojana.
A museum of international standards will be set up at Udaygiri soon to exhibit various findings of Buddhist artefacts.
“The development of Buddhist Circuit is our priority to attract more foreign tourists to the state. The plan includes setting up world class museums, periphery and other infrastructure development, proper roads and electrification of the sites,” said tourism director Nitin Jawale. He was speaking at the side-lines of 4th Kalinga International Buddhist Conclave held at Udaygiri on Monday.
