Odisha Government to launch Biju Gaon Radio programme Apananka Pain

Odisha Government has decided to launch ‘Biju Gaon Radio’ through which the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik would address the people.

The Biju Gaon Radio Programme would provide information on agriculture, cooperation, health, education, irrigation and culture.

The Chief Minister’s 10-minute message ‘Apananka Pain’ (message for you) will be broadcast once in a month in Odia language.

The radio programme would be broadcast from 6 pm to 7 pm for one hour every day. The repeat broadcast would be held from 8 pm to 9 pm on the same day.

The state government would fund for setting up of community radio centres in different KVKs.

The main objective of the scheme is to educate farmers about the new technology in agriculture and farm mechanisation in their own language and dialects.
